THE NEXT ONE – IN GYUMRI
A concert train was organized in Spitak at first, than in Vanadzor the other day, devoted to the earthquake’s 20th Anniversary, undertaken by “One nation, one culture” Fund. Before concerts, wreaths were put on the memorials of earthquake victims – leaded/directed by mayors. The next concert is foreseen in Gyumri, forthcoming. The concert train testifies, that after the great tragedy, people overcame the sorrow, continue to live – create.

“20 YEAR’S AGO” CONCERT IN SHARL AZNAVOUR
CULTURE PALACE OF VANADZOR
As we have informed in newspaper’s previous issue, on November 14 took place a concert – devoted to the earthquake’s 20th Anniversary in Sharl Aznavour culture house of Vanadzor, undertaken by “One nation, one culture” Fund. A concert train – with a title-leaf “20 years ago” by participation of 3 countries’ representatives, took place in Spitak on November 7, and after Vanadzor will take place in Gyumri on November 21. Guests in Vanadzor put wreaths on memorials devoted to the memory of earthquake victims in the vicinity of St Astvatsatsin church of Vanadzor - directed by “One nation, one culture” Fund’s Executive director Tamara Poghosian, Lori Vice – Minister Aghvan Varderessian, the head of department of culture of Shirak regional council Hasmik Kirakosian and responsible of culture department of Spitak Municipality Hovhannes Khoyetsian. The event continued in Sharl Aznavour culture house of Vanadzor, the concert was opened by “Ave Maria” song of chamber chorus /art director Rouzanna Mkhitarian/ of Vanadzor municipality.
A. Varderesian, expressing her thankfulness for the organized event, mentioned:
- Yes, it was a great pain and we have many severe bereavements. The scar remains always, but our nation set on their feet. We are creators and we have affirmed the right of our living at the cost of big fights.
H. Kirakosian mentioned, that our nation, especially earthquake endure ones, have a great force of will, could set on their feet and on the contrary to the natural disasters – to create.
Hovh. Khoetsian mentioned that the memory of victims must be saved not only by cry, but also by further life, culture development.
During the event participated RA artist of honour, reciter Silva Yuzbashian, singers Nvard Haroutunian, RA artist of honour Murad Malkhasian and other creator groups and soloists.
