FESTIVALS' PARADE IS CONTINUED
In autumn Festivals are increasing. Days
ago finished "Armmono" and "Highfest" Theatrical Festivals'
parade will continue "Puppet troupes' Republic 3rd Festival"
in Tavush region from October 18 to 20, "Youth producers'
Republic Festival" in Gyumri from October 21 to 26 and
"Pomegranate grain" child-youthful theatres' 7th Festival
in Yerevan from October 22 to November 2. Yesterday, during
the meeting with journalists, RA vice-minister of culture
Karine Khodikian mentioned, that three Festivals have
one important task: "to transfer culture from Motherland
and make it communicative in region, solving the created
barrier once and for all". The Ministry assisted to all
three Festivals with the aim to brisk the cultural life
in regions and to make them Festivals' participants. "One
nation, one culture" Fund took the mission of "Puppet
troupe's Republican Festival's" realization. The Festival
will be organized in region's four countries and 20 villages,
where participant 19 troupes from Yerevan, regions, Javakhk,
Artsakh will present more than 50 performances with delegation,
arrived from China Chzhanchzhou country's Funczian province's
Marionette Theatre. Theatrical workers' Union President
Hakob Ghazanchian presenting the project of "Youth producers'
Republic Festival", mentioned, that "last year the first
Festival showed, that it is ripened increasingly and the
young producers' "army" is completing. With new works,
new performances to the Festival, 11 young producers with
Tbilisi Petros Adamian troupe will present their 11 performances
to theatre-goers, where for many one it will be the first
debut. Seems, as if communication with regions was ceased
somehow, cultural hearths were kept aloof, and Festival's
like this will fill that overt and strengthen cultural
relations. The third: "Pomegranate grain" Festival is
arranged for the 7th time. Festival's III stage will be
concise with 19 child-youthful troupes participation from

Fairytales' parade in Tavush region
Tavush
region, dressed in rainbow colours, is harmonious to art's
different creations with its inimitable nature really
unconditionally, cause mountains of that region are not
of human making monuments, widespread forests- not drawn
canvases. This small corner of the big world is a non
score eternal sounded music and unblinking poetry. "Puppet
Theatres' Republican III Festival" was held in Tavush
region's Ijevan country, which has rich theatrical traditions,
on RA Ministry of culture and "One nation, one culture",
Fund's initiative. Children lived in incredible environment
in region's 4 countries, 20 frontier villages 3 days from
October 18 to 20, associated with dolls, and with warm
and indelible impressions farewell the guests. The Festival
started in Ijevan with dolls march, after which Vice-Minister
of RA Ministry of culture Karine Khodikian, Vice-regional
governor Levon Sargsian, Ijevan Mayor Varuzhan Nersisian,
"One nation, one culture" Fund's Executive director Tamara
Poghosian sent message of greeting and best wishes to
puppet troupes, arrived from Republic, Javakhk and marionette
troupes, arrived from China National Republic of Chzhanchzhou
country's Frunzian province, near Ijevan's central park's
fountains. Performers, higher estimating Puppet Republican
III Festival, arranged specially in frontier region's
communities, mentioned, that it will spur the transition
of national values to generation, and it will have great
importance for increasing generation -for aesthetic education,
and in region's several communities will be created puppet
troupes. Art groups of Ijevan cultural house greeted 19
puppet troupes with their speeches. Two hours lasted the
open air meeting with children and dolls, which joined
elders and children with their frankness. The puppet Festival
started with Yerevan H. Toumanian State Puppet Theatre's
"Anban Hurin" and CHNR's "Patmum en tiknikner" (the dolls
tell) performances in the cultural house, in the evening.
A bit later, Festival's participant 19 troupes divided
into region's four districts and exhibited more than five
dozen performances during three days. Festival's closing
solemn ceremony took place in Dilidzan's cultural house,
during which Tavoush vice-regional governor Levon Sargsian,
Dilidzan mayor Armen Santrosian higher estimated Festival's
organization, which were eventual days in region's cultural
life. Fund's Executive director Tamara Poghosian thanked
the hospitable region, in the person of regional governor
Armen Ghularian, all mayors, village superiors for showing
hospitality, assistance and concerns' care for 200 people,
from which became obvious, that in region attach great
importance to the culture and young generation's education.
19 Puppet Theatres and troupes awarded with diplomas by
"One nation, one culture" Fund, and letter of acknowledgement
- by RA Ministry of culture. The Festival ended with Dilidzan
cultural palace's art groups' speech and with meeting
expectation once again. After Festival's end, I asked
Javakhk D. Demirchian "Puy-puy" Puppet troupe's head Samvel
Khodikian to share his impressions. "I ought to mention
that the Festival was organized at a high level and express
special gratitude to the Fund, for such hard and difficult
work's splendid end. Our troupe was created with 5 actors
in 1999 and has 8 performances in the play list. In spite
of Javakhk difficulties, we do everything to keep the
culture lofty". Group's member Gurgen Shirinian was delighted
with the Festival and expressed his opinion like this:
"We brought heat from Javakhk and took heat with us from
here". Shushi's "Ervand Manarian" State Puppet Theatre's
director Ashkhen Haroutunian in her interview with "Azg"
mentioned: "According to our troupe's opinion, this Festival
was the best one, that had ever been till now, which was
organized at a high level. Such reception, we had never
seen such contact's opportunity. I can't express those
warm and unforgettable impressions, received positive
fillings, which transferred to us. Only our troupe acts
in Artsakh and we feel great necessity of experience change.
And the master-classes (of H. Toumanian State Puppet Theatre)
at Festival's last day and three-day contacts were very
useful and give rise to thinking, that our primitive dolls
with marionettes will become henceforth very lively, will
add light and voice effects, which we had seen and learned
from other puppet troupes". The Festival, organized due
to Tavoush region's favorability three days, granted light-hearted
and cheerful childhood to children, the elder ones-returned
to childhood. Three days the dolls participated during
the borders defence and granted the region incredible
unforgettable reminiscences.
